What do the staff do after school?

Plenty is heard about how pupils keep themselves healthy but the staff are also keen to improve their own levels of fitness and enjoy themselves whilst they are about it! On a recent Sunday, staff and their families spent an invigorating day on the Long Mynd. A cloudy start made the long haul uphill bearable but at the top of Jonathan’s Hollow the sun came out and set the bracken covered hillside ablaze with gold and crimson.

After a leisurely picnic lunch, on the descent into Waterspout Hollow we took in some of the most stunning scenery in Shropshire. This culminated in a steep climb over the rocks alongside a waterfall. Sitting at the bottom trying to absorb the peace and tranquillity, many hearts were in mouths as Mr Critchlow amused himself by expertly clambering up and down the sides of the waterfall. Over a well-earned cuppa in the Pavilion Tea Rooms, everyone said how much they are looking forward to the next expedition – a winter walk on the Staffordshire Roaches.
